Halo_003

Windows 10 is awesome, I run the technical preview on my machine and love it.

When I was super into it, I did strip out some OS's, but I don't bench anymore, simply no time for it right now. When I finish college I plan to get a dual stage phase, a couple SS's, some 160L LN2 dewars, and go to town though.

It doesn't make a huge difference, I mainly found it helped in wprime and superpi for obvious reasons. For 3D benching stock is probably fine, it might lower CPU score by a couple hundred points but no huge impact is made.

I've been running Windows 10 tech preview since October 2014 going through all the various Builds released and the 10130 build finally worked right when running benchmarks, But I can't wait for the Final retail release on July 29!

Good Luck in college Halo, Hope you achieve your goals and we will see you back here soon trying to "Get it Colder" once again.

If what I think comes to fruition, I may be reconsidering and bypassing the purchasing of the EVGA 980Ti Classifieds and wait for the supposedly two different versions (Which I think will be offered in Low ASIC% versions for air/water cooling and High ASIC% versions for DICE/LN2 cooling) of the EVGA 980Ti Classified Kingpin offerings.

This, Of course is based on assumptions I have made while doing research in the Kingpincooling.com Forum Posts I have been reading through Today, But I'm beginning to see a better Picture of "A Special way they will be offered like never before" as stated by EVGA_JacobF.

Then this would mean without a doubt binned chips.

Yes it would.

I came to this assumption after reading over a section of Vince's statement (post #20) in the Kingpincooling.com Forums over the past weekend:

"...........For great air overclocking and voltage scaling on air over 1600mhz, the asic usually need to be lower like 64-68%.........We have a solution for the issue of the best gpus for ln2 not being the best gpus for air/water and we are planning to sell the Ti KP in a very unique way unlike any other card to date. There will be more details soon about it and I think it can help with this situation."

While I don't do any XOC'ing, I do enjoy reading here and seeing what you guys all do. And I will say that the idea of binning the chips for air and LN2 OCer's is really cool. Can't wait to see more about it.

When your into XOC'ing, It all boils down to paying attention to what Kingpin (Vince) and TiN are stating/doing in their posts at Kingpincooling.com. I have read numerous posts over there that have contradicted my previous beliefs in how I should go about obtaining desired results.

Nice Pics Szeged, I'm Also looking forward to the release of the Kingpin(s).

I always wanted to know if the ASUS OC Panel would read the CPU extreme sub-zero temps on LN2 and at -69.1C, I see it does.

Also shows (Like Myself) you don't need to have everything neat and tidy to Enjoy Extreme Overclocking, Just whatever gets it Done! LOL
