Have you tried to start off with a minimal amount of DICE in the pot to see what happens at barely sub-zero temps or did you just get it extremely sub-zero before trying to start the system up?

The drivers can be fine, but the way the vbios is manipulated might not be.

True, But even using the stock factory 980Ti SC+ Vbios, I still could only load the 353.06/353.12 drivers, Which (at least in my mind) means Nvidia has something to do with this problem.

No one has one close for me to pick up right now.....
You can try with just one card and disable it in windows then try to do have disk method to see if you can get it installed that way. Then there is windows 7/8/8.1/10.....

Appreciate the info John.

Believe it or not, I have tried Windows 7, 8, 8.1 with the 980Ti's with the same result....can load only 353.06 drivers, and with Windows 10 Pro Insider Build 10130 even though there's No actual Windows 10 GeForce Drivers available yet for the 980Ti's, I tried loading Windows 353.06 8.1 x64 drivers that would install, But upon reboot the Device Manager states it couldn't load them!
What's funny is that on my other EVGA System I have running Windows 10 Pro Insider Build 10130 using the 344.38 drivers (Recommended by GeForce as the Best driver) with two GTX 680 Classifieds in 2-Way SLI, The System works Great, except for the fact I can't install the 353.06 drivers on the 680's!

Some how Nvidia has made us use ONLY the 353.06 driver that they designed for the 980Ti and I can't say anything else about what I think without getting a Foul Language Warning!

I did not get it extremely cold, but down to -10 or so to start testing.  At first, I had a bad mount of the CPU pot and fixed that.  Then, after a while, I got into windows and everything ran fine.  I don't have the ASUS AI Suite, so I restarted to bump the CPU up, and when it made it back to the windows load screen, it crashed upon loading the vga driver.  That happened continuously after that.  If I removed the driver, it loaded fine, but with the VGA Driver loaded, big no go.

THe latest K|ngp|n arrives today, and I will test it out before I put the pots on it.  I may look at getting a few pounds of DICE for the CPU to test everything, and just run the GPU on air or on water with it's own loop.

Hummmm, looks like they are on par with titan x's. Someone just posted a score with the same gpu score as mine. Can't really tell what his overclock was though. So I may get me some after all. And it's with the only driver they run on, so that driver might not be as bad as you first suspected.

True, Perhaps it's not as bad.
I would still like to try another driver, But I guess I'll have to wait on Nvidia to update one.
Also I don't know if everyone is using one of the modded Vbios from Overclock.net although I haven't found them from any other source yet.

I usually test others to see what they do, but I always run our own version. I think last go round i even altered some that were up to see if they could run better and they did, but that's an internal thing between me and my partner.
