I went rummaging through an old filing cabinet which hasn't been opened in at least a decade and BAM.. I just came across  Knead-able rubber eraser!  A whole unopened box of it!  I just had to laugh out loud when I found it and it made me think of you guys :)

So here is the NSN for it.  Box of 12.

yup.  So those who have accounts can order the stuff to condensate proof their PC's.  (Though I still prefer liquid rubber)

Called me old fashioned, But I still like to (and do) use Petroleum Jelly for Sub-Zero Cooling in spite of being a little messy to clean off.

Nothing that a cycle through the dishwasher won't cure

acetone.  I thought it would be the worst things for a motherboard until I tried it.  I though it would take the lettering off and everything.  Nope.  Was harmless on the board.

Electrical Cable Clean and Contact Cleaner Sprays work good also.

I've never had a problem removing Petroleum Jelly when used by itself, But let it get in contact with Kneadable Eraser and you have got a Mess! LOL

Today I started Remembering back in 2008 when I started the "Get it Colder" Thread and how I was experimenting with TEC's and their application to Cooling CPU's, And for what ever reason I said to myself "Why not try it with GPU's?"

Since I'm probably Not doing any more serious Benching until the EVGA GM200 series gets released, I thought it would be interesting to see what temperature improvement would result from putting a 400W 12VDC TEC between my "GPU Only" Chilled Water Block and an Old EVGA GTX 480 I had that REALLY puts out some Heat on just the factory Air while running Vantage Benchmarks to see what would happen.

The First photo is with just the Chilled Water Cooling Block installed with the 400W TEC between it (Not turned on yet) and the GTX 480 GPU sitting Idle on Windows 7 Desktop.

This Second Photo is with the TEC turned on sitting Idle on Windows 7 Desktop.

Now I ran a Vantage Bench with Only the Chilled Water Cooling and obviously the GPU Temp Sky-rocketed during the Vantage Graphics Tests as shown!

Finally I ran a Vantage Bench with the TEC turned On which resulted in a GPU Temp Drop during the Vantage Graphics Tests of 44 degrees!

Now.....Even though I KNOW there will be Nay-sayers about these Results, In the case of Graphics Card Cooling, I Think I may have found another way to "Get it EVEN Colder" than with just my Chilled Water Cooling still without having to resort to DICE or LN2! LOL!

Thanks, seems like over the years I have always been thinking about different Cooling solutions that are useable on 24/7 Systems for my Rig Builds.

Sure, You can always go All Out with Liquid Nitrogen or Dry Ice if that's what you're into, But I don't like having to keep checking on Temps and refilling Pots while I'm playing Games and Benching, So I look for alternative Cooling methods to try.

Really would like to figure out a way to use Phase Change on Multiple Graphics Cards like I do on my CPU Cooling, But only One Card is all I can manage to use that method on (so far).
