Very nice extreme cooling rig, but unfortunately is also NOT affordable OR maintainable by anyone here except you.  Not going to hate though.  If I win the lottery and don't have need of a job anymore, I'll come over and we can have competitions in race cars and extreme overclocked computers all day long!  lmao

You say we could compete in both race cars and extreme overclocked computers all day?, OK, Here's a Pic of my 1014 RWHP 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Twin-Turbo Street Car that was Featured in the January 2013 issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords (Page 52 if you are interested).

Now, if you really want to impress folks...how about use the Peltier cooling and have ZERO condensation?  Or better yet, how about using a Peltier cooler AND a cooking oil type submersion method where the oil is also actively cooled using large radiators :D   But then, I saw this done already.  Intel dev team demonstrated this at a recent Intel LANFest party.  Twas very cool to watch...literally!

That's Cool, Seen All that Oil immersion stuff, Why don't you go over to Kingpincooling.com and see what some REAL Extreme Overclockers do with their Rigs.

Thanks, I've put around $114K in it over the years, and I Always get a Lot of Comments when People find out it belongs to a 69 Year Old "Senior Citizen". LOL!!

Got Better Results, But even though I'm now running at 4.698GHz (47x multiplier/100 Bclk), I still can't quite get past 40K in 3DMark 11 Performance.

Gained Only 307 points using the same settings of my previous run after going from a CPU OC of 4.698GHz to 4.798GHz....Very Strange the way things are going today.

Vantage Performance run at 4.798GHz and STILL only managed to break 90K.

Oh Well, There must be a problem somewhere I haven't found/corrected yet, But I'll keep working at it!

Not sure what to make of it?

I just did this one last night before hitting the bed.

Extreme oc'ing looks like a lot of fun & I'm thinking of giving it a try on my old a8-3870k (or an old Phenom II) as an experiment.

What would you guy's suggest for a good starting substance? I was thinking a saltwater & ice mixture to start off with (worked decently well with testing, -9.45c (can get colder with right mixture)with an ambient of 13.8c{and I know this isn't the best idea due to the salt water corroding things}) and work my way down from there. Err, scratch that. Not really practical for actual usage.

Any really cheap cooling pots out there (sub $100-150)?

And, what materials would you recommend for insulating the board?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy a simple water chiller and connect it to any water setup you come up with. and can be used for 24/7 use. Heck, if the loop is long enough. You never have to actually turn it on for everyday use. They can get as cold as -30 to 0 to 10C. or you can make one. This would be the best starting point. Why? because you can still run some extreme by dropping the water temps and when done. Raise them.

Know of any guides for making one?
