I have been a test dummy for many years now. And it's a damn shame as you suggested!.This is why you need a store near home. Or a better return online policy....( which of course will not change)

I would return my purchase and spend the extra few dollars, but mine has been shipping through Incheon Customs for over a month and a half, unfortunately. With the lack of logical support being pushed, I am considering getting my money back from NewEgg, if it ever shows up, and getting the board that is overall out performing others. I hate to even consider alternative options, but it looks to be the best choice over all.

The Fact that I don't have a Store anywhere near me that will let me return worthless junkpile components just infuriates me to no end, And the only thing that bothers me more than that is seeing those greedy twerps trying to sell components on Fleabay for over twice the MSRP!

As you may have noticed Lately, I really could give a Big Fat Hairy Rats Behind about making anymore efforts to try and build ANY Systems when you either not only can't find out the ETA of the components you know will work, But if you do It'll Cost You Far more $$$$ getting it sooner from all these Money Grubbing low-lifes out there!

Now that that's off my chest, I'd better go take a Pill and Chill for awhile before my Blood Pressure goes too high.........

Maybe when they do, I will use the Classified Board, or repurchase I should say.  I am going to make the trade for the time being.  Waiting is too frustrating.  I was hoping with an Extra 6 weeks of waiting, that EVGA would have figured it out.  2 minor updates later, there is still a wall there.

P.S.  i know companies don't like to give away their secrets, but just like the Ti Classy fiasco, (which I vowed to be patient after that, since they did make good on the BIOS for that) I have found that even if they are working on something amazing, they won't even give a clue what they are fixing.  They were saying more XMP support and higher RAM clocks, and people seem to be having a lot of the same exact issues a month and a half later.  It's disheartening.

I was Wrong Again, Things have gotten worse....

Now an EVGA Rep has stated that the GTX 980 Classifieds won't be available until the End of November/Beginning of December due to the backlog of "reference" 980 series Cards.

Just keeps on hitting the fan................
