Halo_003
Are you going to wait for it? I might go for a 980/970 around Christmas, waiting to see how it plays out. I hate the idea of getting GM204 when I get the nasty feeling that GM210 will be coming next year.

Well, Evidently After I Sold my Four KPE's I have Lost My Mind Again , So It's Time to Try Something New in another 4-Way SLI Configuration.........

Just Bought Four EVGA 04G-P4-2982-KR GeForce GTX 980 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 G-SYNC Support Graphics Cards.

Should be arriving Next Week and then we'll see how they work on my EVGA X99 Classified/5960X.

P.S., Hydro Copper WB's should be released for these Later This Month according to EVGA_JacobF.

Think not.

Hydrocoppers = no chipset block.  They are too thick.

From their website photos, It looks like MAYBE the EK-FC980 Acetal+Nickel water blocks will have enough clearance for your X99 Classified WB inlet/outlet locations.

Not that you'll ever see me doing this, But If You want to achieve World Records with a GTX 980, This is what your card is going to look like when you  complete all the Mods that Tin has outlined over at Kingpincooling.com.

What's Ironic is that EK is Also the manufacturer of the Thicker Hydro Coppers for EVGA!

Despite Still having Numerous BIOS Problems with the EVGA X99 Classified in which I have Now found it will NOT run 4-Way SLI with my New EVGA GTX 980 SC's , But which I have been told after consulting EVGA Techs "will be corrected by a future BIOS", I have managed to make a least One Bench on Stock settings using only Three GTX 980's in a 3-Way SLI Fire Strike Extreme Run at a CPU OC of 4.7GHz as shown below.

Note: I Find it VERY Strange that I could run 4-Way SLI on this exactly the same setup/BIOS with four EVGA GTX 780Ti Classified Kingpin Editions with No Problems!
If Something doesn't improve soon, I am coming EXTREMELY Close to changing over to an ASUS Rampage V Extreme that evidently I should have used again in the First Place.

I'm Not Having Any Fun at All right Now..........
