That chip can run at pretty much 4.0 GHz and still win in a multi threaded bench.
Not understanding the memory. Is that 2133 vs 2666?

Sorry about that, I meant the Corsair 2800MHz is running at 2133 (1066 on CPU-Z) and the G-Skill 2666MHz (1333 on CPU-Z).

No matter How you get there, It All comes down to How High an Overall Benchmark you can obtain with the components you have assembled.

I hear ya Hallowen.

In other news, I bought two 780 ti sc's for testing and now i see why they were marked down. rotflmao!
Someone flashed them with a 770 vbios.

The former owner must have had blurred vision from partying too much when installing the wrong Vbios.

Well Try as you may, You and I both Know there comes a time when you realize that without using LN2 Cooling the Top Benchmarking Scores will Never be Achieved.

Granted You may come Close on Lesser Extreme Cooling as I have, But after Looking at what Gunslinger, Wizerty, Hazzan and Slamms accomplished using LN2 on their ASUS Rampage V Extreme and 5960X on Kingpincooling.com, I kind of start to wonder Why I Keep Going.

http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2847

Yeah, I've Tried using Dry Ice Cooling, But while monoriting the CO2 concentration it got so Bad in my Air Conditioned enclosed Benching room and was affected my breathing, I had to vent to the outside which caused a BIG problem with Condensation that was otherwise not present.

I Also particularly don't enjoy the hassles (to Me) of constantly re-filling of the Pot to maintain temperatures, Whether it be DICE or LN2, So I'll Still be using Chilled Water Cooling on the Graphics and Phase Change Cooling on the CPU and have to be somewhat satisfied with the results I achieve with those cooling methods.

Right Now I'm having issues with running the Corsair 2800MHz at rated speeds on the EVGA Classified, Plus a few other Motherboard/BIOS glitches that I have to sort out, On top of ongoing personal Health issues that I do not care to get into detail about, But I'll try to keep doing whatever I can under the circumstances to continue onward.

They had them cards all messed up. The two I have now work alright i guess.

Is that last post referring to me?

Looking pretty good to me John.

Nope, I wasn't referring to You, I was just generally commenting on Types of Extreme Cooling/Resulting Benchmark Scores and also How I am having Memory/BIOS problems with the EVGA X99 and perhaps a hinting of second thoughts about my choices starting this New Build.
Lately as the years roll on by, I seem to be getting to a point in my life where everything is inevitably becoming more of a chore than it used to be.
I think You probably understand what I'm talking about when I say I get tired more easily than I did in the past.

Got cha.

Now...This is why I only buy locally! Because if it's a problem, that stuff is going right back for a full refund. Just like this setup I have now. it will more than likely go back because I only need points at the bot. I have an alienware high end laptop that plays games fine and works great as an all around tech laptop. And i still have my rampage iv extreme BE, which is still running like a champ. I grabbed this board because it was in stock at my Frys. And since I'm not going to run ln2 this go round either, i just prep it for 0 temps and bench away on water. I may slap the ss on it for some cpu runs just to see. No grease or eraser because I dont want to spend 2 days trying to clean a board. And this works out ok for getting some numbers. And then leave it at that.

In your case. You have the potential to gain a lot of points without even running anything other than water. And as far as the ram is concerned. I running 2133 because that's all they had. LOL. That hasn't stopped me from grabbing like 160 points at the bot. I was looking at your profile over there and your missing alot of the basic stuff that would net all kinds of points with little to no real work. And can be done in your spare time or when you're feeling up to par. I understand about the ram, but that's been going on for years as well. I couldn't use my 2666 ram at it's speed until i got the x79. And now i can run it at 3000 and higher. I was about to ditch that ram too. lol.

All i can say is...roll with it. And when it becomes a chore. Start on the car stuff. And when that becomes a chore, jump on the house stuff or get caught up on the dvr stuff just sitting there to be watched. :). I do all the above and my laptop benching. All this...keeps me sane.... This is if your health permits of course.

Edit:
Looks like i need to get some k|ngp|n's....

Now i see what you mean about scaling. These cards do not scale what so ever going from 2 to 3. Dizamn!!!

Didn't know you had already bought a third card, I thought you already knew they scaled terribly.

I found out Months ago when I originally tried 3-Way and 4-Way SLI with an additional two more KPE's after testing with the first two I bought!......Hardly much improvement at All and sometimes even a Loss running Benchmarks!

There are only a Few Tests I ran that show any reason (Fire Strike Extreme, and perhaps Mark 11 Extreme and Vantage Extreme presets) for using more than two cards in SLI, and I Now am thinking even with more than two GTX 980's (??) there will still be the same problem with scaling.

It even may have been better using two GTX TITAN Z's in Quad SLI, But even I am Not going to take a chance spending almost $7K for two Hydro Copper Z's Just to Find Out! LOL!

P.S.,
I should have added that apparently they look like they scale good if you are using LN2 Cooling on All Four Cards in 4-Way SLI like Vince and Others do, But Not on just Air or Water Cooling.
