Man, I need to send you some MRE's for benching sessions!  Tear it open, add water and according to the instructions Prop it up against "a rock or something" I'm sure there are plenty of "or something's" in a benching room

LOL!, I had enough MRE's in the Service YEARS ago!

Anyway, Getting Back to the Benching Results so far, It appears I can OC the CPU with a lower Vcore with the Memory running at Default speed better than I can on the XMP settings which doesn't seem right somehow.

ahhh the "rock or something".  There is a place outside Benning that has a store full of Army-isms shirts.  One of them shows the rock or something

I am thinking a dude as old as Hallow pre-dates MRE's or was brown bagging them (before we switched to the tan versions & vegetarian types).  My guess was C-rats for you hallow.  When & how long were you in?

Yeah, You're about right on the C-Rations!

I enlisted in the Navy instead of being Drafted in the Army a month after I graduated from High School in 1963 for four years and got out in October of 1967 (Just about the time when the VN War was really Heating up!).

Hallowen would you mind running 3dMark Vantage CPU tests 1&2 on that beast? GPU tests are very broken with 4 cards I know but I'm interested in the CPU scores to see how that compares to k|ngp|n's old SR-2 dual X5680 scores in the CPU test.

OK, Here's a Vantage Performance preset Run at 4.597Ghz using Two KPE's at 1343MHz GPU and 1926MHz Memory on Water Cooling compared to Kingpins 2010 World Record Run at 5.437GHz using Two GTX 580's at 1070MHz GPU and 1153MHz on LN2.

I might Add that My 5960X hit 66C - 72C Temps while running the CPU tests in Vantage due to just using Water Cooling at the present time, BUT I Still Bettered my Old X79 Vantage Record Run of P74669 raising it to P78332 and Raised My Futuremark Vantage Position from #10 to #7!

Also, Below the following Pic is a Link to the 2010 Article on His World Record, Plus the Vantage Scores He obtained for your reference........

Pushed it to 4.697GHz and increased the Fire Strike Extreme Score more. My Old X79 setup had a High Score of 19682, so I'm still 1128 points lower with the X99, But My Graphics OC's are set lower than when I ran these tests with the X79 Setup.

Also, Note that I am Still Testing using Only Chilled Water Cooling on the CPU and Not Phase Change yet.

Interesting that his CPU score is still higher. That makes me think that Vantage is actually coded very well for multicore systems. Very cool. Thank you! Much appreciated.

I wonder what clockspeed it would take a 5960X to hit his CPU score. I'd hazard a guess of at least 5.6GHz.

This just drives the nail home that I will probably keep the classies and sell almost everything else, except the Dark and 3930 and a couple of the graphics cards, and go ahead with the upgrade to x99. These numbers look fantastic and thanks for taking the time to post the results.

No Problem Halo,
Vince has already OC'd his 5960X in a Fire Strike Bench to over 5.7GHz on LN2 , But I don't know what the CPU Score would be in Vantage until he runs that Benchmark.

Thanks Scarlet-Tech,
There's Still a lot more testing to do, But it's looking good so far!
