The "warranty void if removed" sticker in EVGA laptops, on the other hand, that's a valid issue.

Contact the FTC about evga putting "void if removed" stickers on products.

"Tamper sticker" is not the same as "warranty void if removed"

In EVGA laptops, it is NOT a tamper sticker; it is a "warranty void if removed" sticker. ... Like I said....

Didn't the FTC just rule these stickers illegal?

a pretty simple googling  shows that no "warranty void if seal is removed" stickers are legally binding in the USA. None of these stickers mean anything to a consumer, and anyone rejecting a warranty due to a 3rd party repair being performed has violated the law.

Supposedly, laws against these stickers, and verbiage in warranties, has been around since the 1970’s. FTC just has to keep reminding companies.

There is no law against this tamper sticker. Read this thread.

He literally said “this thread” and then you replied what thread? This… thread… don’t read the title and first post, then skip to commenting, read the whole thread.

Not sure how that was missed with what he said or why a very old thread was resurrected for no reason.
