If that link gets filtered out, look up aerosimgaming on twitch. Basically it's him filming himself playing and you see the screen black out, then the card flash and blow up. It looks like it took some stuff with it or at least burned the inside of the desktop.

What do you think is more likely, that this guy would stage his video card exploding, or that the video card, having a known issue, would actually go up? There's other videos online showing the same thing. The simpler explanation is usually the correct one.

For example, how difficult would it be to set this up in the first place? Blowing up another card, or editing the video?

What does this person have to gain by lying?

If this was staged, how come there's evidence of this happening in other videos, photos and personal accounts by people?

Do we know if the card that exploded was without the new BIOS, and thermal pads?  or was from the 1st batch with 3-4% defective VRMS?

There is quite a few of these incidents popping up. 8 I think, last I checked in reddit. Some of them occurring post Thermal Mod / Updates. I am considering canelling my RMA just to get a refund and get a different card. Not sure what to do.

Think I'd prefer your Occam's Razor stance. These kind of streaming vids while gaming are pretty common these days.
