A little confused on several things. I see two different BIOS updates. How do I tell WHICH BIOS is active on my card? or do I just apply update 1 - switch bios and apply update two.

I have TWO 1070's in SLI - how do I handle the BIOS update? Will the update program recognize that I have two cards and allow selection? OR - do I remove one card and only work on one at a time.

Sorry for the dumb questions but I'd rather ask dumb questions that brick my cards.  :)

Thanx,

Vic

you can tell by the bios switch on the side of the card, slide the switch to the left and that is your primary bios slide the switch to the right and that is your secondary :)

as far as i can gather it shouldn't matter how many cards you have in the machine it just looks to update all of them, i would maybe disable SLi but if anyone else would like to chip in, go for it

update on Primary first then reboot to check and see you did it right then move the switch to the right then update the secondary, reboot to check. switch bios back to primary and happy days

I'd recommend updating the cards one at a time with the other card completely removed from the system.

From the main thread on the BIOS update:
http://forums.evga.com/Update-11916-with-NEW-BIOS-EVGA-GeForce-GTX-108010701060-PWM-Temperature-Upadate-m2573491.aspx

4th question down in the thread:

Q. How do I apply the BIOS to both cards on an SLI system?
A. On SLI systems the BIOS is automatically applied to both cards.

You will have to switch the switch if you do both the BIOS's on your cards though @ the same time....................both primary>update/ flip switch on BOTH cards Both secondary>update bios

That's essentially what I did and it worked a charm.
