Hey all,

Quick question. I am thinking about getting either

Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3333MHz C16 Memory Kit - CMD32GX4M4B3333C16

or
the same thing but
Corsair DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory -CMD32GX4M4B3200C16

Is there any reason i should not get the 3333 stuff and just bring it down to 3200 to be safe? or is there any chance I will make my life harder? This will be going into an EVGA x99-FTW-K

Thanks!

Stick with the 3200 since it will keep the BCLK at 100.  If you move the BCLK, the gates of hell will commence upon you.  I think that's a fair warning. lol

Definitely a fair warning. Anything that messes with the BCLK should be destroyed tbh. It causes nothing but issues for everything else in your system. Stick with the 3200mhz like Jack said.

Yeah, for EVGA X99 boards 2133- 2666 MHz RAM uses the 100 MHz BCLK, and for some weird reason 3200 MHz does as well. Everything else will require a higher BCLK which can often cause issues.
