For the moment, nothing to do with the tomshardware test and 2 people happy about the support service...

thread : " i have a problem with my card "

The 1000 series experienced design / construction problems, even EVGA recognized it.
They deal with the problem and try to fix their mistakes which is a good thing.

Now, if you want to close your eyes, persuade yourself that the cards are perfect and have no flaws, that's fine.
But already, there is no probe at the location of the defect so say "My card only heats up to 60 ° C" is a nonsense.
The issue is rather the length of life of the GPU  (temperatures are near top of acceptable values. More than others brands).

I do not want to criticize EVGA or anything else.
I'm neither a fanboy nor a troll.
After-sales service, for my part, seems to live up to its reputation.

If you want to wait 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or maybe more without updating to see if your card dies, this is your problem, but avoids bubbling others ...

I dont think I close my eyes about this issue... Yes there is an issue...
I never say that the cards are perfect, they are not ;)

Just look at all the tests, you always see that the VRM temperatures is not far away from the GPU temperature... I play today with a GPU max at 49 degres, you really think that my VRM can be at 90 degres ? Seriously ?

If you dont overclock, just play games, have a good airflow, put the bios, I'm sure it will be fine...

Of course, the issue is here for a lot of users... they want to overclock or want silence... they maybe want to put that graphic card in a tower without a lot of ventilation... for all this cases, yes I think it's better to put pads ;)

I dont want silence and I dont overclock so I'm not worried at all...

No, I have never seen that and yes, that is exactly the problem, seriously.

Speccers
I had a problem with my 1080 FE,  worked great for 3 weeks I believe, then started failing on any OC, even the mildest (and I wasn't pushing it hard with OC to start with).  Then had checkerboarding and random black screens.  RMA'd and got my replacement in like a week or so.  New card has been a champ.  I love the looks of it, and I really like the blower style tbh.
