Well, since there's one for "i don't have a problem with my card", i thought why not gather everyone with problems as well. Instead of posting 20 threads and completelly killing all other discussions about 10 series cards, i thought we might as well gather everyone who has an issue and also gather all comments from everyone.

so, i'll start:

Model: 1080 sc gaming 6183
Purchase date: July 11th, was lucky to grab one as soon as it was available at newegg.
Issue: unusually high load temps: 80~85 when playing overwatch (which is not even that demanding).
Resolution: EVGA offered me free advanced RMA. card came within 3 days. Brand new sealed box. not sure if refurb or not. I did not feel confortable opening the backplate and cooler.

Comments: Very pleased with EVGA customer service, actually quite impressed. Was going to ebay the new card and pick a different branded 1080. However, due to prompt and beyond service by EVGA i decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. i swapped the new card in yesterday.
First card i actually won the silicon lottery, it was ocing to 2200mhz STABLE. New card barelly does 2050. not even sure if stable at 2050 since i installed at 11pm yesterday. Noticeably LOUDER than before.
New replacement card temps hover around 70-75.
i might bite myself over this decision if in the long run the card loses value. Only time will tell.......

Right now almost the whole forum is a "I have a problem with my card" or "I'm afraid my card is going to explode" thread.

For the moment, nothing to do with the tomshardware test and 2 people happy about the support service...

How about we make a thread titled: "I have a problem with EVGA's ineptitude to ship thermal pads to their overseas customers!"

I fully support this as I am in the UK and still "awaiting shipment" 4 weeks on. Will NOT be buying from EVGA ever again.

I think you can post in the "I dont have any problem with my card" thread if you re just waiting for pads
