What OS is installed?
After the screen shown, what happens?

Make sure your using the PS2 port and not adapter to usb, then -unplug- everything (thats ALL connected devices) from the USB ports...
Then try it again. If it works, try it again with just the mouse added!

If still no luck, the keyboard or its cord, or the PS2 port might be toast, try another keyboard (or get a $10 usb one)

Oh.. make sure your not using the num lock keys...

Just reboot and start tapping on the delete key, looks like the boot drive order is messed up and needs to be reset

*might be a good idea to check all the HD connections (power and SATA)

I have to pick up the wife from work, should be back in a few hours

You will need to list the specs of the system, what was its condition the last time used and -everything- connected- to it including monitor(s), internal cards and drives...

After review and making sure everything is OK, a BIOS reset might be the next step. But a system review is need before doing that.

How long since it last was running? have you tried replacing the BIOS battery? How old is the PSU and did you check all the power connections?

it has been probably 3 years since it was last turned on. just replaced the bios battery still have same issue.
PSU is probably 5 years old. all power connections correct.
