Don't, unless you know it has the new pads installed to prevent it from blowing up inside your case or melting your components.

Are they? So why is EVGA themselves recommending people to get the "OPTIONAL" pads?

They also said from start on its optional. if people want to be one the 100% safe side or are still worried.
But they also said it's not necessary. Yes, some parts can be hot but they are still within the acceptable range.

Just a few cards have problems and not thousands and thousends that are sold till now.

Nope, my backplate is hot as hell behind the VRMs with the updated VBIOS installed, so no, it's not a good sign. They are too hot for what they were advertised as being superior products, now what good does the 10+2 power phase design do?

I did not say that's good or perfect. Because it's not. But you can still use them like every other graphics card and that was the question the Thread Opener made.

Again, yes some cards have problems, but how much % of the complete line make this ? 0,1% - 0,2% ? I think other Nvidia partners have more RMA requests because of other problems...

Can i? Even in SLI setup where the top card gets to default thermal limit (83'C) all the time?
Can You guarantee that in that scenario VRM wont overheat?
I dont think so.

Jesus, if you are soooo scared than sell your cards and buy another one... but they can be faulty too and die in week/month x or year x if you are unlucky...
