ypsylon Are you not Happy with your EVGA X99 Classified Motherboard?
The Day EVGA starts to make AMD Motherboards or AMD Graphics Cards is the day I drop EVGA.

Of course I'm. I have 2 of them, soon will start work on 2nd permanent setup just for running BOINC. But if Zen's performance is better and I can get for example this 16 core/32 threads Naples beasts for the price of 6950K or so then it's a no-brainer for number crunching! AMD cannot afford to do Intel and charge outrageous amount of $$$ because nobody will buy it. They need for Zen to sell very well right of the bat and Intel will drop prices immediately to stay competitive (that will be depressing experience for most folks who already bought overpriced chips by good factor...).

You're a bit extreme with dropping EVGA (yeah ...EVGA...) when they make AMD product. I'm far from being a fan of AMD. I've said that after 4 disasters/or near ones/ with AMD cards (all 4 I owned) I'll never again buy card from AMD, even if nVidia is not top of the line (hard to imagine at this moment in time). However AMD CPUs were always competitive until the time when AMD missed the train called 'Intel-Core-architecture'. If they deliver superb Zen product I have no problems with trying it.

EVGA's last flagship motherboard for AMD was the 590a. The 730a came out later, but it was just the fizzle out of AMD/Nvidia boards for EVGA. I'm glad Nvidia no longer makes chipsets for the mainstream boards... I hated every Nvidia chipset board I have owned. Drivers were always a nightmare on those. I will never forget losing both of my ethernet ports due to a Nvidia graphics driver that also changed my ethernet drivers.

EVGA has an exclusive contract with Nvidia. They will not be making any AMD products a part of their product line. I have seen this question asked at least once a year pretty much since after I joined... It's always the same thing, nope. It's also always the same response from the brand loyal customers too... That have tunnel vision on it's superiority, rather than innovation.

I don't agree with the idea. I'm a firm believer in  the more different products/items you produce and make, the lower your quality control and quality assurance is.

Quality assurance or customer service? Asus has pretty damn good QA, but absolutely terrible customer service and they are pretty much one the biggest in their industry. Which is what I'm more a fan of... getting a product that works from the start and I never have to call them to get it fixed or deal with hardware down time.

Over 8 years ago EVGA released this information. Despite the length of time I haven't seen any manager of EVGA release anything to the contrary since that time for AMD processors and/or AMD video cards:
