Oh wells my bad news is that my R9 290X died just after the lifetime warranty
Wait.. the R9 290X was only launched 3 years ago.. is that what they call a 'lifetime warranty'? LMAO.. another reason to go EVGA/NVidia.. extended warranty up to 10 years (or 5 years for a lesser cost), not to mention the awesome EVGA after sale service if needed. Your choice of course. :)
Meh the reply of a Pro NV puppet as it seems and I know EVGA is a place for Pro NV based users and that is fine as long they don't shove that in an others face, or like mine I am fine with it.
but it's good I also know neutral minded people here, those I prefer to be very honest

A reply like this I declare as not really helpful, more like insulting to be honest

Also for your info I seen plenty topics where GTX 1070 & GTX 1080 users have major issues so might want to keep your assumptions to yourself thanks

As for Deaths with NV GPU's let's see, okay check this out then;
GTX 1080 Exploded? that for a 780 Euro VGA card eh?
http://forums.evga.com/1080-FTW-exploded-now-dead-and-took-other-parts-with-it-m2583259.aspx Welp I never seen a 3dfx, Matrox, ATi/AMD, S3 or Power VR card Explode on me, not even once, but does that even matter?
More troubles with GTX 1000 based cards here, lots of problems.
http://forums.evga.com/EV...ce-10-Series-f103.aspx EVGA Service in the EU isn't as great as in USA, the same with Corsair and other companies like ASUS & TYAN.
In USA RMA's are amazing that I know, but in the EU it's sadly not the case, so mostly I can't be bothered RMA'ing broken material since I mostly wait longer than 3 months, it's lost valuable time.I mean if the RMA service is worthless, what's the point?
My best GeForce cards were the EVGA GeForce GTX 295 Red Editions, I could afford those because I sold all my 3dfx Voodoo5 Engineering Samples, still something I regretted doing..But I did get something awesome for it back and I still have my GTX 295 Red Editions, just for the memory I had with them.
So Ugh, I mean seriously, if you plan to be helpful post a quality reply over such Better buy NV /EVGA bla bla nonsense, that really isn't helping me, I can't
afford those brands anymore so they are intermediate drop offs
Due to being 100% Disabled and chronically ill I do not have the money to buy overpriced NV based hardware, also the drivers VN makes are shocking I am sticking with AMD for now, my R9 290X ran great for 3 years no driver issues at all, really nothing.
Also as an experienced VGA card collector & user, I had well over 800 VGA Cards since 1991, all sorts of hardware can die new or old it doesn't matter, that is something I can tell you without proving it.
Only back in the day when I was young, I rarely to never seen the odd symptoms people are having today, like VGA cards blowing up, or short lifetime failures, lower quality solder, lower quality parts all being used to lower production costs this is the main cause why computer hardware has much shorter lifespans and this has to mean the quality of everything is just a lot less.
Anyways I will buy on what I can afford, I too get less due to the changing economy,as long as I can play the games I love with friends I enjoy being with I will buy what I can afford.
NVIDIA does not have what I see for 290 Euro's AMD Wins with their RX 480 for that price, everything NV Offers is slower so, I Have found what I need then.
For
one GTX 1080 I can upgrade
three of my systems with a RX 480 8GB, so Cut the easy Buy NV only nonsense talk and try to understand it from my end over your opinions.
It's fine you can afford such expensive things, thing is I can not, it took me four years to build my main server and it's probably the last system I can ever build with such hardware, due to the changing economy, people like me get less and less, since we pay more taxes etc.
So I have to deal with what I have at the current time.
