Why do I have to pay the shipping fee when I got a crappy unit?

Had a fan ticking noise ever since I bought the GPU and took months to find out it was the fan.

Already sent GPU to retail shop where I bought it and they couldn't find anything and wasted 10$.
Are you guys serious? How is this supposed to be a good warranty service?

Hello,

I would call EVGA support directly regarding this. Their phone number is +1.888.881.EVGA (3842).  I know in the past when I have done RMA's they emailed me a prepaid UPS label upon request.  (You will need a box and packing peanuts or another way to prevent damage in shipping).  I can't imagine they would not give you one if the product was faulty out of box.

Also, just a heads up you might consider a cross ship RMA in which you put the value of the card down on a credit card and they ship you a card within a week.  When you ship the faulty card back (with prepaid) they will refund the value of the card (so you don't keep it).  The benefits of this is going to be you will see a new card on your doorstep a week earlier than with a standard RMA. If you do the standard RMA it will probably be a few weeks until you see a new card. You can read more about the cross ship RMA here: http://www.evga.com/howtorma/

Let me know how it goes!

I suggest calling EVGAs's 24/7 tech support and asking them - http://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

Normally you could trouble shoot the fans 1st like putting a little pressure  in the middle of the fans. It happened to my 2nd 980ti classy just a little push and its back to normal.
