I'm just confused. This is because EVGA has issued an update to the BIOS for my card, but they are not allowing me to request for the Thermal Pad mod.

Can somebody please clarify?

Thanks!

Hello.
The Thermal pad mod will aid to the cooling of the VRM.
You can check the test made by Tomshardware DE

Sorry for hijacking the thread...
I ordered 2 1060 SC cards from Germany, shipped on 11.11.2016. Had to wait for more than a week for them to be shipped. So, could they have been fixed in the meantime?
If not, what thermal pad does EVGA provide? Thicknes, surface area, brand, specs?
I can get my hand on either Arctic thermal pad 6W/mK, or Fujipoly thermal pad 11W/mK.

I did the same. After read Tom's Hardware review, put Fujipoli GR45A 6w/mk in memories and vrm. My Bios version is 86.06.27.00.60.

Even so the card does not pass 63 degrees playing GTA V and The Witcher 3.
