Just wondering what the difference between the 08G-P4-6180-KR and the 08G-P4-5180
-KR GTX 1080. Other than the Cooler. Like is the PCB and performance the exact same?

And a Different Cooler Cover. You can do a Side By Side comparison of the two cards together on EVGA's Website.

FE is manufactured by nVidia while the other is built by EVGA. The PCB's could be a little different. And as bcavnaugh said the coolers will be a little different too. For the difference in price I would try EVGA's version as I know for a fact that the overpriced FE will throttle with the supplied cooler but works great with an ACX3 installed.

Ah ok sounds good. So I am in the process of building a Benchmarking rig and I already have 2 of the Founders edition Evga 1080s and was thinking of getting the cheaper one without the FE cooler since I will be taking it off anyway.

I have two 08G-P4-5180 and they are great.
The Cooler works fine and because I cannot see the cards installed in the Server Case it matters not what they look like our how they sound.
Note to that their is SC Version now as well. 08G-P4-5182-KR EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING   B&H In Stock $610
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING Graphics Card in stock as well $620

The 5180 is the same PCB as the founders unit but has EVGA's own blower cooler and ships without a backplate.

This would be the lowest cost 1080 option. Performance is the same unless you get the SC version bcav mentioned.

I will have to check it out. I am really just going to be tearing the card apart as I wanna do a 3 or 4 way SLI Benchmarking/ VM rig but it will be a rig I use in everything I do as well.
I am just wanting to Water cool it in the hopes it fits the FE EK waterblock I have.

Good call. Buy the cheapest one and just watercool it with a Hybrid kit or a waterblock.
