And I need to know what hdmi it has just 2.0 or 2.0a

I'm 95% certain that it is HDMI 2.0. Edit: yes, HDMI 2.0 only - http://www.geforce.com/ha...gtx-970/specifications
 
But it still supports HDR at 4K if that's what you are worried about - https://developer.nvidia....ge-display-development
 
Just make sure you have a good quality 18 gbps cable because the cheap ones can cause the signal to drop out now and then.

Im worried about 4k 60 hz HDR. I'm pretty sure 2.0 can handle 4k 24 hz HDR for movies but what about gaming. Also many higher end devices have gotten firmware updates to 2.0a from 2.0. Is this possible for video cards. One would think so.

I know my 980 Ti can do 4K 60Hz just fine (don't know about HDR), and it is also a HDMI 2.0 card. The requirement for that is a 18 gbps cable.
