I just installed the Hybrid kit for gtx 1080 FTW and set the bios switch to slave. Using MSI Afterburner, I pushed the core clock offset to +90 MHz, voltage to 130%, memory to 200 MHz. 
 
I used Uniengine Heaven Benchmark to stress the gpu. I could only set the core clock offset to +90 MHz max before it would crash black out every now and then. Even then, it only maintained a core clock of 2101 for a couple of minute before randomly dipping back down to 1721. Then, It would climb back up only to 2088. Over time, it would eventually go down a bit more. 
 
The temps only got to 50c max. ARte these readings ok? I figured i lost in the silicon lottery but I want to make sure the random drops to 1721 are normal or because I installed the hybrid kit incorrectly.
 
I attached a few images showing the different times when it drops. In the third image, the yellow marker shows when it started clocking at 2088 MHz.

Temp looks good. Low gpu usage can cause your core clock to drop to base clock speeds. Use k-boost if you want your card to stay in its boost clock when under low gpu usage.

Bu those drops were happening during the Heaven Benchmark. Doesn't that mean they were happening during high gpu usage? 

Picture #2 shows the drop to 1721 when the gpu is at 1% usage. Picture #3 shows the card at 2088 when at 0% usage which is obviously a incorrect reading.

Ah ok. I wish there was a way that I could upload the monitoring history completely than just an image. I will upload an updated third image. That image shows a yellow marker showing from when it started clocking at 2088.

I could try redoing the Heaven Benchmark stress test with a different software if need be that will let me upload the monitoring history.

You can log chart history to file by right clicking the monitoring graph and selecting "log history to file".

no the drops happen in heaven bench when the scene transitions. if you want to stop that from happening you have to add the .exe to the nvidia control panel and then under that program (this being the benchmark) you click under power management. select prefer maximum performance
