Have had this card for two months now and it's a beast. I see others post temps of their cards and oddly mine has come no where close to even approaching 60 degrees. This is after one hour of BF1 at 1440p. Card is OC'd +100/+500, stock cooling.  I have a custom fan curve that goes from 20-80%. Case is a basic Corsair 400r with standard fans. Using modified original beta slave bios for AMD CPU's that EVGA sent to those with vendor reading issues. Prior to thermal pad installation the highest temp hit was 57 degrees. Thanks EVGA, superior product.

That custom fan curve will do it  - many folks either don't want to take the time or don't want make their card louder even if it will keep temps nice and low. And these Pascal cards crave low temperatures to keep a steady boost clock.

I also never had GPU heat issues with my 1070 FTW, it maxes under 60 degrees in BF1.
so no complaints here either.

better cooling.

Mine are also having the same temps, but the VRM and memory temp has nothing to do with the temp you read in HW Monitor. They are higher than that. However, I do not think they are over the normal limits.

Now that is just wrong. Pascal cards will keep a steady boost no matter what, however the boost will be higher the lower the temperature. Maybe thats what you wanted to get across but wrote something else...

My GTX 1070 is capable of those clocks and slightly more with my curve but I actually run it at +100 GPU and +250 memory since one game gets picky when I put it to the full +125 GPU, +500 memory but my card hasn't run warmer than 65 C with the higher overclock.

+134 core OC here with a +500 memory OC on a 1080 F|E, very happy with this card so far! Hasn't broken 64C to date.
