Mine is under awaiting shipment as well so I've ordered my own thermal pads. Do not wait for EVGA to ship one to you. Just grab some cheap ones from ebay / amazon link from one of the threads here, apply it, and put EVGA on your to avoid list the next time you get a graphics card.

Mine says "pending shipment", I don't how if that's any different from "awating shipment"

I apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.

Thermal mod kits will be shipping soon however there is not a specific ETA date unfortunately.

Once the thermal mod kit ships we will update the page with your tracking information.

Dear MDecker, thank you for your answer - I really appreciate getting a reaction from an EVGA official.
However, I was well aware of the URL and the status showing on this site but "soon" is just as vague as "Awaiting Shipment". I've had this status for almost 3 weeks now and considering that the delivery itself might take a week I'm actually wondering if I can expect to get the thermal pads before Christmas.

I mean you should be able to give us an estimate within a 2 or 3 weeks window since you should know the total number of requests and how many of them you're able to process per week.

Furthermore I think we would all appreciate a bit more than just a verbal apology. Sth. more substantial which gives us customers the impression that you're actually sorry. Especially for those among us who will have been waiting for more than a month to get the pads.

This is obviously going to depend based on the demand at the time your requested the pads and the quantity they are receiving but this is my experience with the process:
1- Requested the pads on 11/02
2- Pads shipped on 11/11
3- Pads received on 11/14
4- Can't wait to open up my GPU sometime this week

Thanks to EVGA for sending those out free of charges and for the easy RMA process

So that means a total wait time of over 1.5 month for some thermal pads if they take 1-2 weeks to get to destination and haven't even been shipped yet. In the mean time I cant use my card pretty good 490 euro spent. And don't tell me its optional and those kind of talk it is needed.

Awesome.....

Check your email and tell me when you ordered them please, you should have a receipt when you placed your order.

I am happy for you.  I requested mine on the 24th October 2016, unfortunately for me I am still on "Awaiting Shipment"

I edited my original post with the date. It was on 11/02 so it took less than 2 weeks in my case. I know EVGA would offer to RMA your card if you do not wish to wait for the pads. I have RMA's my first 1080FTW just before they start shipping them with the pads but they offered to send me a new one if I did not feel like opening my GPU which I refused because it would be a fun experience IMO.
Now, I am not sure if they ship them from different locations based on your location and if the stock they have might be more sparse but I have used my card until now without the pads and have not had any issues. I would, like everyone else, recommend for good airflow in your case and cranking up the FANs a little if needed which is what I do when I play games anyway as I expect my CPU/GPU to heat up the case quite a bit. Just my 2 cents.

Next week will be a month. We all know Thanksgiving is coming too, so that might slow things down a bit. This is why I bought mine from Amazon....Not going to wait another 3 weeks to a month to use the $500 gfx I paid for to use in my gaming rig! Especially, since shipment to delivery time is 2 to 3 weeks alone. Not complaining, just sayin'....

The Problem with RMA is that I will get a refurbished card, which is unacceptable when i paid the full price for a new one. Also may I ask in which country are you in ?
