So I just installed some new fans and controller. Everything was great pc started up just fine began to update my software and the pc shuts down (Deleted for Language) right? Now it will boot up for 5 seconds then shut down. It won't even get passed the motherboard logo. I tried testing every piece to see if something went bad.
Right now everything is unplugged except for the psu and motherboard and I'm still getting the same results. My only conclusion now is that my psu is the issue.

Moving to General Hardware.

Your recent instillation could have caused something to come loose.
Make sure all your hardware is securely seated and that all your wired connections are properly connected.

Try doing the paper clip test on your psu with a fan connected to it. If it turns off while doing the paper clip test you will know it's your psu and not the motherboard.

Tried the paperclip test and the psu runs fine. So I'm assuming I need to replace the mb.

I had issues similar to yours after a new hardware installation once and it turned out to be a bad sata cable to the DVD drive.
I just can't believe installing some fans and a controller broke your MB.
Make sure all your cables are good and have solid connections

I disconnected everything except the mb connection and got the same result so it has to be the mb.

I've had a pair of low-end, but still reputable ($80 USD) z97 boards go bad on me recently. One would cycle power on and off once per second (looked like blinking fans, HDDs were clicking too). The other suddenly decided that no USB ports existed, and that it had no PCI slots. Both boards died within 3 months of brand new purchase. Since spending more ($120) on a board, it's lasted 18 months and still going strong. I'm curious as to what chipset and price range your board was. (Trying to see if the more expensive boards are worth it or if the two $80 boards were both coincidence).

It was a $220 board. I think it burnt out when I tried pushing my pump fan wire back in. I remember doing that cause the fans didn't turn on and it popped on me.
