If the membership fee is on a monthly basis... lifetime warranty on video cards as long as you're a member?
+1 to this. But dont forget about motherboards and PSUs as well.
No monthly membership. Its better if its a one time fee with every product you have registered/own. Of course the one time fee should not be ridiculously overpriced. We are in fact paying alot of money already for said products such as GPUs, PSUs, and motherboards. EVGA can do something such as any product from 2010 till now should be a base for what qualifies for the lifetime warranty. If I recall the 580 GPUs had lifetime warranty on them already and they were released in 2010 or 2011?
Now if you get a new card, motherboard and PSU in the future just pay a extra $5 towards each new product to get the lifetime warranty while having the premium membership. That means if you get 3 GPUs you pay a total of $15. Then another things comes to mind is what if I sell said GPU, PSU or motherboard in the market place, will that lifetime warranty be transferable to another premium member who has a membership? Or would they too pay the extra $5 on said product to get the lifetime warranty? That's my two cents.
Some people think we should pay 10x more for a membership than what we get out of it. How dare we expect to receive any kind of value for our hard earned money.
Similarly, some entitled people think we should get everything for free and EVGA is a charity and not a for-profit business. How dare they not give us free stuff when we purchase items from them at market value and enjoy the best after-sale service in the industry included with that purchase.
No one believes that and you know it. You clearly don't know how to attract people with a membership. You do know evga gives out tons of evgabuck (folding@evga) as a promotion to attract customers. Yet you don't think the would give away item that costs around $5 to mfg.
What kind of membership charges 10x more than topical member will get out of it.
Clearly you have not looked at the Powerlink thread and all the entitled rants in there. I am amazed there is even one person alive that isn't aware of the entitlement mentality rampant in our society today - well, except for those who believe they are entitled to everything for next to nothing....
You need to realize that there are TWO SIDES to consider when looking at a subscription model, not just ME ME ME NOW NOW NOW... sheesh

..and as it happens, many years ago one of my positions was as a product manager designing a extremely successful incentive program for a company with over 15,000 employees, plus I have 2 degrees majoring in accounting and economics, both with honors, which included cost accounting and finance which is relevant to this, and my employment for the last 6+ years is as an auditor, so yes, I do have a few clues.. the big difference between us is that I am looking at it to be mutually beneficial, whereas you're apparently just out for as much as you can get personally and are possibly butthurt that I pointed out issues with your proposal earlier that gave extremely large benefits to members right from joining up. Again, look up what opportunity costs mean in relation to cost accounting when you keep going on about $5 manufacturing costs, because you clearly don't know what you're talking about. I am not the only one who thought you were expecting to much, again, go back on this thread and see for yourself. Constructive criticism is not only valid but also vital when considering such models.
Nowhere did I or anyone else ever say anything about membership charges 10x more than t
ypical member will get out of it, once again you're just making things up... GROW UP.
You've already been warned to stop this sniping bs, so freaking cut it out already.
