3 weeks and still on awaiting shipment, I would like to get this expensive door stop into the comp and see what I have paid over £400 for...

hi

where can i follow the status of the thermal pad order please ?

Wondering the same.  Also, I paid for my evga power link over a week ago but haven't received them either.  Never got a tracking number either.

You can go to the page where you requested them...make sure you are signed in and scroll all the way down to the bottom. Your status will be right there.

Thanks keetrock

Install your card and play. There have been very few cards with actual issues, and yours is probably just fine like 99% of the users.

Couldn't agree more. Besides, unless this "door stop" is  not fully functional out of the box, you're cheating yourself out of enjoying what you've paid for. People and their irrational worries are getting out of hand.

I got mine yesterday and maybe 3-4 days after I got the shipment email. USPS bubble mailer. Should be under a week for most people.

The mod might actually be challenging for people who are not handy. And be careful with some of the screws because they are soft and strip easy. There are two sets of instructions and I used the Gamers Nexus tutorial video on youtube which they did before the vram pads were included so I had the thing buttoned back up before I realized I screwed up and would have to take it all apart again. So overall it took me two hours - but I was in no rush, just listening to music and swearing at myself. And on my 1070 SC the vram pads were touching all the chips already and the replacements are the same thickness, but strips. So you might not need to do that step.

Overall my temps are lower but that of course has to do with the healthy glob of Arctic MX-4 that replaced the old goop. Im seeing temps in Tomb Raider (the game I own that runs the hottest) that are 5-6c lower, a far slower ramp-up time to full temp (it creeps to full temp) and an idle temp of 30-31c! So that's nice. Now that I have taken a GPU apart I have no worries about doing so in the future and replacing the factory goop with something better. So that's also nice.

I registered for mine on day one and got them today. Originally it said they shipped 10/31 but then I made a post on Reddit about the VRAM not being cooled because the pads were too thin. I think they halted all shipments at that point and devised a fix for that as well because my pads arrived today with the VRM and VRAM cooling fixes.

Yes indeed, they are flowing outward. Got mine today as well. Also more like 4 days since having shipped. The 1 - 2 week transit time must simply be dependent on your location.
