Did you manage to find one in the end? If your keen on water cooling, you should look into the EK Water Block. Google "EK Water Blocks EK-FC1080 GTX EVGA FTW". Would look real nice on a SLI setup, plus it'll do a better job that the hybrid kit.

Nope, no luck .. what so ever

I fully agree with, but TBH I don't have the time, nor the energy to setup a full water loop and not even a smaller loop dedicated to the SLI config.

So EVGA screws the pooch and your solution is to give them another $100+. This forum...

They screwed us really well on this one i give you that, and they are not making any it better it seems
I'm not so sure that the thermal pads alone will be sufficient  to carry the card forward for months or God forbid years to come.
I live outside the US (Dubai) and every-time I RMA anything I pay around 150$ in waybills and when i get the card back, I pay customs again which will be around 30$
so if you think about it, i'm saving money on the long run

A Kraken X41 with a Kraken G10 will work as well.

A Kraken 41 needs a copper shim if I'm not mistaken not sure tbh, while the evga cold plate comes with a ridge which fits perfectly

The EK Water Block  (EK-FC1080 GTX EVGA FTW) can also be purchase pre filled with a quick connect adapter. You can the add this into a supporting AIO or custom loop in minutes. Yes it will cost more than EVGA's hybrid but it will outperform it, give you great temps and best of all your not giving EVGA money to fix something that should not need fixing.
