Is that Firestrike score with a stock GPU?  As in no OC on the GPU?
What is the temp of your GPU while running the benchmark?

If your GPU is running anything over 60C, then you're losing anywhere from 26MHz - 39MHz or more depending on how high the temp gets.  It doesn't make much difference in gameplay, but on benchmark scores is where you'll see it.

That's all I did. if you really need the other ones, i can just pay for the program.

Factory SC'd EVGA 1080.

Hits around 75 C. It boosts to 1949 MHz though. I think my numbers were poor even before it was boosted. In fact I noticed gameplay anywhere isn't smooth no matter what my FPS count is.

So is 1949MHz the highest it boosts or is that where it settles to after the card heats up?

Your graphics score for a stock SC'd card in Firestrike looks about right.  Set up a custom fan curve using PrecX or MSI AB and get that temp down and you'll see a little increase in scores.  Look at my Firestrike score (in my sig).  That's with a pretty high OC on my GPU.  Both on the core and memory.

Also, a higher res (1440 or higher) monitor will typically perform better on these 1080 cards.

CSGO gives me around 200 FPS in 2560 x 1440. I switched to an ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q. Your score is substantially superior. I feel like my card should be performing better, no?

Any FPS you get over what your monitor is capable of isn't doing anything for how smooth it will be.  The idea of Gsync was/is for the display to show what your GPU can put out up to it's refresh rate and do it nice and smooth.  If you're not using Vsync or any other frame capping method, then try setting your game profile in the NVCPL to "Fast" in the Vsync section.  That may help.

My score is much higher compared to yours because my core clock was running between 2082 and 2095MHz.  It started out a bit above 2100 until I hit 55C then dropped a bit.  My memory was OC'd to a +250 if I recall.  I don't OC my GPU while gaming however.

Also, your score shows it better than 95% or other comparable setups...

I just noticed your system ram is showing you at 1333MHz in your Firestrike score.  Is that accurate?

It is. And every time i OC it over 1333mhz it endlessly restarts my PC. It's quad channel ram as well.

I also believe my ram is factory rated at 1866 MHz..

Even when I get 2000 MHz + on my overclocks my scores aren't that impressive on benchmarks :|

Remember also that the Intel Core i7-3930K CPU is not a True GEN3 CPU.

I would concur with bdary in the Below Post.

If you can't use the XMP profile for your ram due to instability, you could manually set it to 1600MHz and use the timings from the XMP profile.  Make sure to manually set your ram voltage as well to the mfg'r spec.

As far as your scores.  As I mentioned in a previous post, your FS scores are 95% better than comparable systems.  That is with no OC on your GPU.  Nothing to complain about there...

Yeah, should be around 135fps with a 1080GTX card on Heaven 4.0, that's on the high side with a +134mhz OC to core/+400mhz OC to memory and a 800mhz OC to my 4690k.
I think@ base clocks should hit about 110fps on a 1080.

Computer crashed at 4.5 GHz right away.

Anyway, went back down to 4.3, booted up Prime95 on blend and my PC froze and bluescreened immediately. Seems like a dying CPU to me. "Machine Check Exception". Perhaps that's the reason for my low performance?

EDIT: Running Small EFTs and the thing hasn't crashed yet. Now I'm leading to believe that there's a bad stick of RAM in there that's causing all of these problems in that case. Windows memory tester is useless.

Must say, I get stuttering frequently during playing. The only other time i had this happen was when I had faulty 4870 x2's back in the day with ATi. I don't know if it's really a fault GFX card, because the computer has been doing some strange things lately. For example, when I hold my mouse click down, it'll randomly release and click again on its own. Also icons on the desktop have been resetting randomly too. This just started happening a few days before I installed the GTX 1080. I wonder if it can actually just be the RAM..?

EDIT 2: Running Blend on Prime95 again and it hasn't crashed instantly. Must be randomly cycling through RAM to select?

4.3Ghz should be fine OC for that Cpu, if your crashing @ 4.5ghz just bump the Vcore a hair bit more. Remember its not voltage that ruins processors its degradation from over heating it.
Either way 4.3-4.4ghz should be fine for 1080GTX without a bottleneck.
