Hey guys,

Hope you guys can shed me some light here. I purchased an EVGA 1070 FTW off Amazon and had it delivered to my friend's address in the States as he was coming to visit me in Canada. Problem is, I've lost the receipt and for some reason, Amazon decided to close my account due to too many refund requests (which is funny cause I've shopped on Amazon for ages and never requested refund...), I'm quite sad since apparently the Power Link Adapter absolutely needs a receipt...But what really concerns me is the thermal pad mod. I've tried calling CS and they told me receipt is not needed for the thermal mod as long as my card is registered , however, the answer I got from Support Ticket says otherwise. Can someone guide me here a little bit? Thanks!

I think that the receipt helps speed up processing, but that it's not necessary. You can still register your product using the serial number and part number on the card. Your past order should also be visible in Amazon, to take a screenshot of.

I think that you should have no problem applying for the thermal pads without an invoice, so long as you register your card with EVGA (which doesn't require an invoice to be uploaded). However, in the worst-case scenario, it would cost you only $5 or so to buy the needed thermal pads, yourself. But I think you're fine. Just register your card with EVGA, and apply for the thermal pad mod at the bottom of this page: http://www.evga.com/thermalmod/

All you need to do is register your card with EVGA. A receipt could be obtained if you called Amazon CS (they could email it to you). But you don't necessarily have to have it.

I think it's only required if you request a RMA to install the pads, if you're requesting the pads to install it yourself you shouldn't need it. At least for me they didn't request it.
