I did, lol. Fulipoly instead of silicone based. They were drying out and starting to crumble. $40 down the drain.

I ordered on day 1 and nothing yet. Don't feel like waiting forever while I try not to push my card too much until I get the official pads, so I just bought my own thermal pads out of my pocket. That's a shame, but one thing is for sure, I'm done with evga.

I installed thermal pad mod on gtx 1070 and android 7.0 nougat on my s7. I wonder which one will blow up first........

My order status says they shipped it out on 11/2/2016, but I still have not received them. I have contacted support many times. They keep saying that I should get them soon and that the thermal pads are "optional." I don't think they are optional if we are paying extra for a FTW card that can be overclocked. I contacted support to pay for them to send me another set of thermal pads. Did not work...

I sit here waiting while two 1080 FTW's go wasting in my X99 Build waiting on my thermal pads. While my Z170 build with an Asus 1080 Strix is gaming at 60 degrees C at 1440 165hz flawlessly. This is the 2nd and last time I will ever buy EVGA.

Well, this is the 4th week now, basically almost a month, unfortunately mine is still on "Awaiting Shipment." I wonder if this week will be the one?

And remember people even when they eventually ship these, you can wait up to 2-3 weeks until they arrive, making this fix a very slow process, and what’s worse the updated fan curve doesn't give you peace of mind as you know it's a simple band aid. The thermal pads are needed to future proof the reliability of our FTW cards which come with completely overkill TDP/power phase setup we now know makes zero difference and was shoehorned for the sake of being "unique" to the rest of the cards out there...
