dustinr26mine says shipped on 11/2/2016 and then says may take 1-2 weeks to receive. still nothing here yet..

I would say it's pretty sure sth. went wrong with your shipment IF you're in the US or EU. Have you contacted the EVGA support about this yet?

Checked mail today and nothing. I will reach out to them tomorrow to see what is going on. I am in the US also.

Just like the people from the UK, i waited till last Tuesday to receive my pads and i ordered it the day it was announced "Oct 24th" and i live less than an hr away from the headquarters. Adding the VRAM pads may be the cause for a little delay. Just be glad EVGA is doing something about the problem. i know it's an expensive piece of hardware and it could be worse. I feel all your frustrations because this is my third card. But for some to say "First and last Evga card" is just not right. I give credit when credit is due, and EVGA manned up to their issue with the pascal chip and is doing everything they can to fix the problem.. My Cousin Has a MSI GTX 1080 gaming X and his card crapped out. They are giving hell with the run arounds saying it's his fault basically and having test this and that, instead of saying 'OK Just RMA the card' or 'we'll replace it'. and he still has the crapped out card till now and it's been about 2 months of going back and forth.

At least EVGA does not void warranty if you want to add a watercooled mod as most company's will. So i say to all that does not have the pads yet, Hang in there you'll get it.

Same here.
Just requested RMA.
Tired of waiting and I think in the end it is better.
Even though I have the technical skills to perform the mod I don't trust the card that I have. I have tried to logically overcome the perception but I cannot.
First thing I did is overclock with Precision then do torture testing. Who here doesn't? (did not use Furmark) Did I damage the card? Probably not...  but... probably?
Secondly. This card, due to this issue, will never be sold on the secondary market to finance another purchase. Does EVGA care about the secondary market. No. They shouldn't. But I do.
Everyone and their dog who would buy this kind of card, at the usual places where these things get sold, knows now that these cards are tainted. I bought a premium product at a premium price that is now, for my intents and purposes, worthless.
I will now have this, or actually the replacement card until it dies or is technologically irrelevant. I want one that has been checked out, has  factory installed pads and a factory programmed BIOS and that I don't feel a lurking suspicion of, since I am now resigned to having it until it dies.

I do appreciate EVGA's handling of the situation and want to stress that this is why I bought EVGA to begin with and will again. Probably not anything with an ACX in the description...

I can understand the same feeling. My only thing with doing an RMA is getting a refurbished card when I bought this end of July brand new. I am bothered also by the secondary market as I've always sold previous used cards to upgrade and now we're are kinda ****ed in that aspect as no one will be buying used EVGA 1080s.

Still on "Awaiting Shipment" for more than 3 weeks now. And I'm sure it's going to take even longer to reach me once shipped (I live in India). I really want to get this done as soon as possible, not sure how much longer I can deal with the anxiety.

Got order confirmation for thermal pads on the 25th of October - but still awaiting shipment. Ordered the free PowerLink on the 5th of October and still waiting for the email with payment details..

In the mean time, I have watercooled my GTX 1080 FTW with EK-GTX FTW1080 waterblock and pre-fill for EK-XLC Predator 280 QDC AIO. Using EK-Waterblock thermal pads. Got sick and tired of waiting for months (my estimate) to fix what appears to be a simple production error.

You should request EVGA to reimburse you for your troubles, and I am serious here. We have out of spec cards with inefficient VRM/possible vRAM and increased noise levels due to new vBIOS fan curve, you were forced to fix it yourself, I would want compensation for my time and money from EVGA if I were you.

Well, my motivation isn't getting financial reimbursement from EVGA. Sure this thermal issue has affected the resale value of my GTX 1080 FTW. Inevitably, problems occur for different reasons. EVGA's response to this misery has been outstanding - at least in terms of providing vbios updates, promising to provide thermal pads and taking responsibility for possible defects when users install them on affected graphics cards. The major problem is that they probably weren't ready for providing so many thermal pads and/or RMAs in such a short time period. There probably is a long backlog of requests with no clear method of prioritising between the date of requests vs. region the user lives in. The handling of thermal pad requests has not been transparent enough and the lack of communication is unacceptable.

The reason I want EVGA's thermal pads is that I need them for the time when I plan on reselling the graphics card with the stock ACX 3.0 cooling, or when doing a step-up. I plan on upgrading to the GTX 1080 ti upon its release. And preferably EVGA, despite all the troubles with the current generation of FTW cards.

However, I only have 26 days left to request a step-up and no news yet on the release date of the GTX 1080 ti. Would be awesome if EVGA could enable users with affected thermal issue graphics cards to step-up to the GTX 1080 ti or equivalent, even if the step-up time window has lapsed.

How long time can it take to ship some small thermal pads and thermal compound to people that are going to do the fix them self ??
Now its been another week where it still says "Awaiting Shipment"
I have had a positive vibe at the start of this problem, cause of the way that EVGA had handle it. But that was in the start and before a way to long waiting time.
So what do they just want to let people blow up there cards so they have to make it into a RMA case, just because they didnt send out the thermal pads.
I was really so happy in the start when i finished my new build, tryed new brands for my hardware and didnt went with Asus hardware for the first time. But man was i wrong
about that.
