Your're not. Regardless of how well (or not for the acx 3.0 :-p) the cooler works, all items - core, VRAM, VRM etc. are cooled to some degree, just at different ratios. As per the link, playing BF1 with 90% fan and 55% TDP , VRM was 8°C hotter than core (53°C). Furmark 90% fan and 100% TDP, VRM is 17°C hotter than core (71°C)
55% TDP, VRM is approx 115% core temp
100% TDP VRM is approx. 124% core temp
Makes sense I guess that the efficiency is dropping as VRM temp is increasing...
It's funny, when we talk about facts, tests, all the people who claims that all cards needs thermal pads and that all cards will burn our houses dont have nothing... they just stop talking...
