Hey,
I just ordered a 1070 FTW and was wondering if there is any cost to RMA it to get thermal pads installed (if they are indeed missing) and if I opt'd for a cross-ship will I be recieving a new card and not a refurbished one? Thanks for your help.

If you have your card since a week only, you can simply ask an exchange were you bought the graphic card no ?

Nope as I would have to pay for return shipping.

you'll still worry as to whether your card can dissipate the VRM temps through a bit of tin as opposed to an integrated solution like other cards.
skip the acx cooler this time round, get a refund. it's not worth the headache

The no headache really if they cross ship and would probably be more of a pain to return/refund as it would cost me in shipping. Just wanted to confirm that EVGA will send a new card and cover the shipping costs. I have heard nothing but good things about EVGA so i'm fine with my choice in card just want to nip this little issue in the butt.

Yes, you should get a new card since you're within the first 30 days of purchase. Will evga cover the shipping costs? Maybe. You'll need to ask them...

Yeah but you a refund you will get immediately, while if EVGA is busy you could wait weeks for it to be sorted by them?
