So I finally put together my build with the EVGA X99 Classified motherboard, and I'm having problems. It won't even get to the stage where it downloads the operating system for the first time. I've tried turning it on and off again, and it's given me different beeps and codes each time. What I always get is this:

CMOS checksum error,
Press F1 Skip, F12 Enter Setup
Except it won't respond to my keyboard presses so... anyway. The codes it gave me. One of them looked like a 67 if the 6 was backwards... a funny looking six. This time the light on the motherboard is A2. Let me give you my complete computer build. I really need this computer to work I have a lot riding on it.

EVGA X99 Classified (motherboard)
EVGA Supernova 1000P Silent Series (psu)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 8GB (gpu)
(look I got a lot of evga stuff okay?)
Intel i7-6850K (cpu)
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series (2 x 16gb) DDR4 ssd (ram)
Samsung 850 EVO - 500gb  M.2 SATA III ssd (storage)
Seagate Barracuda 3TB SATA III hard drive (storage)
Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler (fan)
LG Electronics 14x Blue-ray Internal Rewriter without software (optical drive)
Corsair Obsidian 750D (case)

The windows 10 install disk is just sitting in the optical drive not doing anything. I really need some help here. You would not believe the trials and tribulations I went through building this pc.

Make sure the keyboard is connected to a port on the motherboard itself, (in the back). If you have another keyboard to try also try that one.

This is normal for first time and you will see this when your remove the Battery or if you Press the Small Red Button on the MB or Rear I/O Panel.
CMOS checksum error,
Press F1 Skip, F12 Enter Setup

A2 is good as rjohnson11 above said use the USB 2.0 Ports on the Rear I/O Panel the top ones or the ones on the left side, not the Blue ones for your KB.
You MUST Enter the Bios and set it up before you Install the OS, you should also update the Bios before you install an OS.

Well I feel a bit silly now. Yeah connecting it to the motherboard's usb connectors work. Also did the BIOS update so thanks for the tip. Right now I'm just trying to figure out how to install Windows 10 onto the Samsung V-Nand M.2 SSD. It only seems to want to install it onto the hard disk. And none of the google results seem very... simple. I'll try to figure it out.

There is a Thread about this or an FAQ. Let me see if I can find it. You do have to make a Bios Change and then Save it and then return into the Bios to set it as a boot device.

Set CSM Support to "Disabled" under Boot > CSM Configuration

Or
Leave CSM Support enabled, then set Storage to "UEFI"
