  • Looking to buy a 17 inch gaming laptop with a gtx 1070, that's thin and has good build

Hello so far I've been eye balling a GIGABYTE 17.3" P57Xv6-PC4D since it's pretty thin, only about 6.X pounds in weight and has a gtx 1070 with an i7 6700HQ and only about $1800-$1900 USD
1) However the cons to this purchase is that it doesn't have any flashy features like RGB keyboard, they keyboard isn't mechanical, doesn't feel well at all when typing and is quite flimsy.

2 ) Speakers sucked

3) Also huge con was that the keyboard got very very very hot to the touch when gaming, seems like a huge design flaw.

The other laptop I looked at was the newest Razer blade, it appeared to have amazing build quality and flashy features that I appreciate, but the graphics card was only a 1060 and the screen was only 14 inches, as far as laptops go, an extra 3 inches goes a long way. I saw that razer had a 17 inch version with a gtx 1080, but the starting price for those were $3700 USD, which is insane.

I was wondering if there were any very thin 17 inch laptops from MSI, Asus, Acer, Alienware or other companies I'm not aware of.

Can anyone help me out?

Also do any of these thin laptops have a 120hz or 144hz IPS screen?

Check out something like the Sager/Clevo models or the XOTIC G67SG Raider - http://www.xoticpc.com/g67sg-raider.html .  Not sure of the refresh rate but it does have G-Sync.

This is 1070 with 120Hz screen - and is $1000 cheaper than the MSI model.  Aorus is a subsidiary of Gigabyte - http://www.xoticpc.com/aorus-x7-v6-pc3k4d.html

If you use the power search function of Xotic's web page you can really narrow down some models that way. http://www.xoticpc.com/custom-gaming-laptops-notebooks-gaming-laptops-ct-118-96-98.html

I bought an MSI gaming laptop about a year ago and I love it. Nice sound and RGB keyboard. I usually plug my own keyboard in as the smaller laptop keyboards aren't as comfortable to me. I would check out the MSI Dominators and see if there's anything you like.
