Precision does not work at all... it is installed and run as an administrator turns on and ten seconds later errors out. I tried older version seem to work for a while. Newer version did not work on completely fresh install of windows 7 or after upgrade to win 10
I dl'd Afterburner and it seems to be working meaning I use it to control temperature and not worry with how much graphical power it outputs, but as i am seeing right now running game... its not conforming like precision xoc does. Hence the overkill of components to achieve results i'm looking for.
Thanks again for ideas
Steve
What do you mean exactly by "its not conforming like precision xoc does"?
I am not sure which classified MB you have but everyone I looked at has more than two PCIe slots. From what I have seen on the EVGA classified boards the first card goes in the 1st slot and the second goes in either the last slot or the second to last slot. If your setup is like that and you are still getting high temps then you may need to think about possibly adding some fans to blow towards your two cards, alternatively I have heard of others leaving the side of their case open with a floor or desk fan blowing right into the case. The final option is of course going for water cooling.
I am still on my GTX 980 and I am now waiting on the 1080Ti's with water blocks, once they are in I will compare prices and performance to the normal 1080's and decide which card is best for me.
I am not sure what results you are looking to achieve but with the temps you are getting and pushing them to run hard until they crash, you may be getting the burnt out graphics card achievement soon....
