I have been experiencing this dreaded crash in CS:GO lately. I know that this is an issue for 1080's, but is it possible that this same defect is also in some 1060's?  
 
I think it is important to note that this has ONLY been happening in CS:GO. I have been playing Titanfall 2 nonstop since launch and it has not crashed once. This makes me think that it is a driver issue instead. Perhaps the new drivers just don't agree with CS:GO?

Try setting your gpu fan to max before playing cs:go to see if it helps fix the black screen problem.
