hello guys. I'm new and built my first "real" computer a few months ago. my set up is i7-6700 (non-k) gigabyte z170-hd3p mobo  evga gtx 1070 ftw gpu 16g ddr4 corsair ram corsair cx650m psu cooler master t5 cpu cooler etc. I was running a msi gtx 960 gaming 4gb. I used 3d mark for bench mark. and I with the 960 I scored 6546 or around 6500 and I installed the 1070 and ran the benchmark and scored a 5600. plus my fps are around the same as the 960. and also
am I correct to assume that this is a more powerful card that it means it runs hotter? if this is so. what temp do I not want top see? on the oc manager it is set to have the fans on at 83 degrees c. I would be very grateful for any feed back, thank you guys!
 
ps I what could I consider my setup to equate to low end mid or on a slightly higher side?

Have you remove the old drivers for the 960 with DDU(Display driver uninstaller)? And installed the latest drivers for the 1070? The PC might think the 1070 is still the 960....Good luck.
