Nope, most likely will not even update BIOS.
So you will not change anything too ?
Because we are all here on this forum but we are a very limited number of 106/7/80 owners !
So we can say that we are gonna have a lot more owners who will never know about this issue at all...
Correct I am not changing anything, not installing pads or bios. I did order the pads since they were offered, they will be saved for install if I sell these (not likely to sell them BUT) and a future owner has concerns. My own fan profile is
MORE aggressive than the new BIOS version probably is. I never have and never will allow the settings in the BIOS control my fans. I use MSI Afterburner to control my fans like I stated before. I do not believe in 0db fan profiles, I did not and do not build P/Cs to run games and fold at max and ultra settings and expect them to be so quiet you can hear a mouse fart.
I am pretty sure with the blow up and over reaction to the temperature issues that unless you live in a cave most will have heard about this. If your a true enthusiast (as apparently you are) you know about it since it's smeared all over the net. If your an average user and do not overclock and have good case flow I am willing to bet you would never know. It wasn't until someone decided to run a bench test in a loop for an insane amount of time WITH access to a thermal imaging camera that anyone had a clue about VRM temperatures. If you can put those same demands on the card/ GPU VRM ETC ETC while running a game then I commend you!! Where are all the tests for prior series of GPUs with the same testing done? (actually I don't care) Probably/ Maybe? could be some out there, again I don't know and I don't care. I am not going to search for them and waste my time.
My 1060's run, and have ran since installation at max. Am I worried? Not in the least.
