I won't be. I replaced my 2 EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0's (04G-P4-2983-KR, bought late 2014) in my X99 system (on which I stopped most gaming about a year ago so I have been wasting QUITE a bit of $$ since these 2 980's are now beside my 2 480 GTX's gathering dust

) with an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 (08G-P4-6286-KR) ordered on 08/23, shipped 08/31, received about a week later. After reading about the BS/heating/whatever issues AFTER pulling the plug on the order I was worried BUT for the first time in my long life (57 years old

) I must have won the silicon crap-shoot as I tested my card with hours and hours of different benchmarking programs (and the Doom demo LOL) with eVga Precision K-boost on with 2025 Mhz clock and watching usage/mem/temps/fan on my Logitech LCD color keyboard display the card just crushed the benchmarks and occasionally I would hear the fans speed up (at 70C using default fan profile). That's where it would idle when taxed the most and then would just cool down and quiet right down.
I just don't want to mess up a good thing. I just need to get something like No Mans Sky (

) and really game. I used to play tribes/tribes2/BF1942/planetside on different teams/clans but cannot get interested again so my card is currently used for me to check email, news, these forums, etc... on my Windows 10 x64 fast-ring preview (yes-I like Win7 eye candy MUCH better but what the heck!) system. I'm "a-scared" to change anything.
