Hi, I have just bought and installed a new network card, because marvell inside motherboard are old and impossible to have driver upgrade. Network card is a pci-e Intel I210-T1. No problem with Windows 64 bit and network card works very good. The only strange thing is that during th boot i see for only 1 second this message on the screen:
WARNING
HAVE OPTION ROM CAN NOT BE INVOKE (VENDOR ID:8086H,DEIVCE ID:1533H)   but the system works good and no freeze or other. I have call and written to Intel and they say the i must written to you .  Thank you in advance for the help or solution.
Kindly Regards

Marco

Its probably a setting in your bios for a opt rom boot for networking etc.... that is enabled maybe. Just disable it and the other opt rom settings and save then reboot and see what that gets ya.I cant remember if this issue has ever come up before with the x58's but if you do some searching on the forums here or in google you may find a old thread about it.

No problem, wish I could be more help. That error code it gave you is referencing the new nic you installed. The only other thing I can think of is that the error code is telling you that the new card isn't eligible for a option rom boot or doesn't have the capability maybe. As long as your rig is running well and that error isn't messing you up then it may be worth it to just leave the issue alone. I def get the wanting to know why and seeing it resolved because I would do the same thing but since its not having a major impact on the system I would end up leaving it alone probably.
