BurningVRM1080
No. You are not bro. I thought it was a joke too, actually I thought it was just a false rumor that the guy purposely set his gtx 1080 of fire. After reading up on it yesterday and seeing the video from Gamers Nexus my heart just sank. Worst part was finding about the ridiculous fix a bandage at best! I felt disgusted and angry but we can't do much about it. This isn't the first time I was disappointed by EVGA but now that this is all real with the VRM issue, I'm just done. We do get the warranty for this card though but seriously who doesn't give out warranty? Just hang in there, it's a lot of headache and I know we spent a lot of money on this card.

"No.
In my case the card was 33 days old. I am not entitled to a new card only a used refurbished card. I paid $1000 for a new card and now they are depreciating the value of my investment by at least 40%. Do they offer to compensate me for that loss  in value? No they don't. Do they offer to give me my money back? Of course not. I do not even qualify for the Advanced RMA because I don't have a credit card so I am waiting 4 weeks or more to get a refurbished card with less value back. If I try to sell the card I am not going to get even 50% of my investment back due to the press surrounding the card. NO ONE is going to want to buy a used FTW. And yet they expect me to accept it with their insulting apologies for the inconvenience but that is our policy BS! I will be seeing a lawyer today to see if I have a legal remedy to recoup my investment.
I should have bought another brand.
FTW? I am not LMAO"

EVGA has resolved my issue to my satisfaction.
They are to be commended.

No, you're not the only one. Three issues with the 1080 FTW and it's not a cheap card. I've changed the way my PC is used as I don't trust the card at all, which is a shame as this is my first EVGA product. I also don't trust the RMA process as I've read many reports of people saying they've received faulty cards back.
