I believe FAH not working correctly is a known bug; it was mentioned by Manuel with regards to the previous driver, and since this is a hotfix driver related to the screen flickering it's unlikely this was fixed yet.

I heard about incorrect points output, not units failing immediately. I expect very little from Nvidia with regards to driver quality these days - and that's sad.

It all makes sense now, and if I am going to use GSync, I will remember to enable frame cap or vsync.

IMHO for twitch games that you get consistent 144+ FPS you want to use ULMB mode not G-sync. ULMB gets you the best latency and a lot less blur than g-sync.

Off topic, just checked my 980ti's Asic quality, rather blown away 85.8%

Which brand gpu?

GM200
edit: Evga 980ti FTW

PPPFFFHHHH, that is awesome!  Imagine, you could have paid almost $300 more and got a K|ngp|n, lol.  85.8 is one of the highest I have heard of.. only heard of one 89.

ULMB?  I need to research this one. I am not familiar with it.

Ultra low motion blur. Your PG278Q has it.

Had to go through the menu and reset everything, for some reason it was greyed out.  I have it working now.  Thank you both.

You are supposed to be able to set either G-sync or ULMB mode per program via the Nvidia control panel, though it can be a little funky sometimes. Not sure if it is a bug or by design but it only auto enables if your refresh rate is 120 Hz. See the top post here for a potential workaround to get it working auto switch: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nvidiahelp/comments/48oaor/gsync_ulmb_and_pergame_profiles/

Otherwise if you do G-sync at 120 Hz per app profile ULMB should work.

FattysGoneWild and Demo. Thank you both greatly. I had no idea they had changed Vsync to off. It all makes sense now, and if I am going to use GSync, I will remember to enable frame cap or vsync. I sincerely apologize for the first few posts where I didn't understand what was being said, and appreciate you all for helping.

Scarlet, it's recommended to have GSync ON + VSync ON in the Nvidia control panel (GLOBAL settings). From what I've read, this is different than VSync on in-game where it only kicks on when you exceed the refresh rate of your monitor rather than all the time.
NVCP - GS + VS on
In-game - VS off

This is what I do anyways and it works fine for me.

I usually set vsync on in NVCP + fast sync on in nvidiaprofileinspector
vsync off in game
games run at 120ish fps
