I am going to blame Bethesda's clunky old Creation engine on this one, but I just wanted to verify if anyone here has the same issue?
I disabled SLI just to rule that out as a problem.
When Gsync and Vsync are on I get stutters in random areas (usually outside) that are reproducible when walking through the same area again after the stutter stops.
When Gsync is on and Vsync is off, I get no stutters but the animals get physics wonked so I see a lot of hopping Wolfs, Deer, etc...
When I turn Gsync off, the game locks me to 60 fps eventhough my screen is set to 165 Hz in Nvidia control panel and for some reason, when panning around the world things just don't look as smooth as you'd expect from 60 fps.

So those are pretty much my choices, I tried going into the Skyrimpref file and turned Vsync on and off there manually but it has the same effect as just doing so from Nvidia control panel.

With Gsync on I usually get around 100 to 120 fps and everything looks great and smooth but the occasional stutters are just frequent enough to really be annoying.

System specs are in the sig.  If anyone plays the game as well and has found settings with as few compromises as possible, please let me know,

Thanks!

Yes I do have stuttering problem and have to disable it when playing the game.  Sometime after a hour or so of game play the game wants to drop fps. Then I have to save the game and exit to fix it.

So you turn Gsync off and leave Vsync on and just deal with it that way?

Our systems are very similar, what temps are you getting on your CPU with the 4.3 overclock and at what voltage are you running?  My idle temps are usually in the upper 30s and during gaming upper 50s to low 60s.

I am getting between 24C to 29C idle depending on room temp. and full around 50C to 65C at full load with 1.35v. Use nvidia inspector to set your frame rate limiter but you have to control panel and turn off Vsync by adding profile for the game first. Search google and will tell you how to do it. I turn off Vsync also and get a constant 60fps.

I saw another guy having these issues and he locked in his framerates to either 99 or 89 max and it fixed it.

I'm glad you guys are using 'gsync' monitors... It's the next item on my list.

Unfortunately, I can't offer much in ways of help here since I just use the regular v-sync which works fine at a constant 60fps w/ Skyrim...

Acer Predator XB271HU is definitely in my price-range... This one, Acer Predator X34, lol hell-naw! Damnnnn... must be nice ^_^

I have severe stuttering, as well.  I disable G-Sync and just run the game locked to 60 FPS with 120 Hz ULMB instead.  This is the first game I've run that has issues with G-Sync.  Even Fallout 4 and Diablo III run with no issues for me.

The problem is gsync is not 100% unless you cap your frames like 10 frames below your monitor refresh. Nvidia has know this for some time and neer fixed instead relied on vsync to hide this problem but it also adds vsync lag and in syrim case vsync stutter.
And yes for those who don't know vsync on with gsync works though the gsync range acts as frame buffer for gsync. Vsync on gsync on is garbage.  Gsyn should be used on its own and capping frames. Latency is much better even more so at lower frames.

So yea use nvidia profile inspector and cap your frames 10 frame below refresh and dont use vsync.
If this fixes your problem then contribute to that thread nvida needs to fix this problem.

Also if the game locks at 60hz with vsync there is a good chance it doesn't support higher than 60hz so no matter what anything over 60fps wont be smooth even with gsync. Nvidia has refresh set to highest available IDK if that will override limit or not.

I do turn Vsync on along with Gsync enabled for games where my computer exceeds the 165 hz my Monitor can handle.  Case in point is Star Wars Battlefront which caps itself to 200 fps which is still too much for my screen. With Vsync off I get screen tearing when I exceed 165 fps which is why I turn it on.  Using Vsync for me is on a case by case basis, I just fiddle with it and use whatever gives me the best results.

Turn vsync on in global settings along with gsync then disable vsync in game, this worked for me on a number of games.
