Hello dear EVGA Community,

i got a problem with my 1070 FTW Gaming.

Since 2 days i get black screen while playing League of Legends and Forza Horizon 3 and other games. 2 Months everything went fine.
Black Screen occurs sometimes after 30 Minutes but sometimes also just after 5 Minutes of playing.
When Black Screen occurs my monitor act like it loses signal to the 1070. Plugging in the cable of monitor to my 1070 doesnt solve the problem.
Its like the 1070 is shut down till i reboot my computer. so i have to reboot every time this occurs.
The Chips on my 1070 are from samsung. The Card is not overclocked.
Temperature never goes above 50° in the games.
My old graphics card, GTS450 does well and there are no Black Screens = 1070 maybe broken?
What do you think should i do? Is the temperature of the vrm high and should i wait for bios update announced here -> ?
But why does this occur 2 months after purchase ?
Or should i request RMA immediately?

Best regards

Do you have the updated drivers?
If so, try uninstalling with driver sweeper, reinstall and see if the issue persists.

Hi d0zer44,

I am sorry to hear that you are having a system lockup.  If you have tried multiple drivers and the same lockups keep occurring then I wouldn't assume this is not heat related as your temps look good, but unfortunately it could mean that there is a problem with the product or the power.

We can of course help you with a RMA to see if the card is at fault to assist.  Please contact our support so that we may work with you.  http://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

Does the problem occur when running the card in debug mode?

I had the same problem when i first got my card, Yet EVGA's support say it may have been a "hiccup" as it magically disappeared after happening about 3-4 times but it doesn't fill me with much confidence considering spending £450 and i have seen other posts here report the same issue and also on the 1080 FTW, the massive almost 50 page thread about black screens and the Fan going to 100%. To simply say its a hiccup and see other people having similar issues, noted the 50 page thread is for the 1080 but still, the same symptoms...?

still keeps crashing in debug mode.

it seems it crashes faster in league of legends than.

15 minutes stress test with furmark  on 70° temperature on gpu doesnt crash my system. but 5 minutes in league of legends with 40° temperature crashes my system?
what do you guys think of that weird behaviour ?
