They actually said annual in their postings from what I saw ...., maybe not Battlefront in particular but meant SW in general ?
 
 
 Polygon quotes the EA CFO saying, "We’re working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering." They correlate this with previous comments suggesting a new Battlefront game would come in 2017 and that EA is planning annual Star Wars games for the next three or four years.

SWBF1 released on November 17, 2015. Probably aiming near same date again for SWBF2.

By "extremely deep and engaging" I assume that is marketing code for extremely deep into our pocketbooks and engaging our disposable income.
