Yes.
1) BIOS master update, restart PC, check nvidia control panel for version.
2) PC shut down, switch to slave, start PC, update BIOS slave, restart PC, check nvidia control panel for version.
3) PC shut down, switch to master, start PC, check nvidia control panel for version.... showing up with slave BIOS version.

I updated the VBIOS but while playing BF1 my temps are still at 82c? Is that a normal temp?

Super noob question.
If I've been running the card for about a month with heavy usage such as Battlefield with no performance issues, is there any chance that my card might be slightly damaged and I'm unaware of it or is the only time the card is considered damaged is when it blows?

I am also wondering about any specific information pertaining to potential performance degradation, or loss of GPU life, due to running a card for a few months without proper thermal protection.

Is that a FTW card, and are you running a custom fan curve? That seems high. My 1070 SC on the stock fan profile reached a maximum of 72C. But I'm running a custom fan profile so that the fan is at 50% at 60C, and that keeps my GPU temperature at a maximum of 60C.

There is a chance your card is already damaged, yes, and will eventually blow or stop working without catastrophic failure, just a question of when. The higher the temps the faster your components wears out and fail.

Yes FTW edition. I use to have it on a custom curve. I just turned it to aggressive after writing that message and now running battlefield at 1440 and 130fps I am around 68~72c and idling around 30 as of now.

What if Samhung did this for the GN 7:

Hi, it just came to our attention that the battery of your brand new device is overheating during charging, it may be a hazard and sometime blow your phone off and/or spontaneously take fire.
The consensus says that if you change the battery, your phone could potentially be ok. So we decided to send you, free of charge! , an optional battery plus an Exclusive! Samhung sticker to prove our dedication. The only thing you'll have to do is to open your phone* and change it yourself, so easy.
If you feel uncomfortable, We of course offer you an option to send** us your device and we will change the battery for you. Or cross-ship*** you a refurbish phone already fixed.

*not free anymore.
** Tools not provided.
***We will just take $700 as an insurance, just because we trust and love you that much.

What if.

Noticed a Classified I didn't even know existed in the bios list, What's with the 1080 CLASSIFIED DT ? What's the point in it's existence ?

Isn't the whole point of the Classified line to have high clocks and not be shipped with "Founders Edition" type clocks ?
