1)EVGA is doing something - right?
So what do u expect? Someone that comes to your home, bring a cake and brand new card with installed pads, better cooler and and and?
They give you the solutions, we have already video on youtube, we have pictures and the warranty is not lost if you break something.
2)So please tell me now: How much better could they do now? You need 30 minutes time (if you are not an expert and take care) to do all this?
Remove card, follow video, drink a coffee, wait for the pad and bios update and everything is fine?
3)And you have warranty - so WHAT?
I REALLY cant understand what you all have to complain about. I dont understand your problem now.
And please - they wont turn your fan with +50% and I am sure this new fan-curve will be 1-2 db louder. And?
4)Please tell me what you get from other?
Like your washmachine, car, TV, notebook, bike, receiver, router, gaming console... how do u think will they all save the issue?

My friend are you work for EVG? They do the oversight and now they must listen complains!
None of the aboves you said tell me something, if you are from EVGA product manager, engineer etc. then come with the sector you are dealing
and listens the complains.

The micron bios fix should be addressed with the new Bios as well. The new Bios would not revert the memory back.

Also, it would be good to see if it corrects your issues while we wait for the new Bios options, so that you can see if something is wrong. If so, then you can RMA and have everything fixed at once.

I will be flashing the bios, installing the new thermal pads, and all of that. I am not doing it specifically because I think there is an issue, but if I sell the card, I don't want to have to tell someone else to do it if they want it done.

For the advanced RMA, make sure your card is registered and the advanced rma option is purchased, and it will save you lots of time.

So you told to someone as a advice the above in bold
How the ..... Evga sold us these cards?
Something else, I hope the support team have in their minds that there are cards with SAMSUNG vram and don't mess up with bios and wait again
for the correct bios.

A friend of mine with a 1070 SC asked the support for his pads, the support answered to him that his product was not affected to this issue, so, no pads for him...

What ????

You need to post the part number.

I am assuming the card is P/N: 08G-P4-6173-KR?

Also, he shouldn't contact support. He should go to to request the pads.

What are you assuming with the 08G-P4-6173-KR exactly?
As far as i can see on the Q&A 08G-P4-6173 is on the list, also cards who don't need it are clearly identified:

Card with the "fix" are not in store, certainly not in production yet. The 1080 Classified  part number 08G-P4-6386 is also on the list.

does anyone know when the bios update is going to be released im kinda scared to run games at this point i applied for the thermal pads but god knows when they will come in. im getting 70-74 degrees C just playing overwatch not even on maxed settings either so ...

I have been running my 1080 FTW for months without any issues.  Just play your games and if it dies you are still under the 3 year warranty.  If you are worried set your fan to aggressive preset in precision.

Why does the thermal pad guide not mention the use of a antistatic matting to prevent damage from ESD shock?

Why should it?  If you don't know what you are doing then just send it back.

Maybe because it's the electronic handling 101, first on the list. Static discharges is always a hazard.
